LUMS Career Services Office Hosts Annual Career Fair 2026
The LUMS Career Services Office organised the Annual Career Fair 2026 on February 7, hosting around 200 local and international organisations. The event marked an important milestone in students’ transition from education to the professional world.

From first introductions and resumé exchanges to conversations that sparked confidence and direction, students gained valuable exposure to industry expectations, hiring processes, and diverse career options, while employers connected with a high potential talent pool and strengthened relationships with the university community. These interactions extended beyond immediate hiring needs and supported informed career decision making.

The Career Fair welcomed more than 2100 students and alumni, including over 1700 students and more than 250 alumni. A total of 197 companies participated, representing sectors such as IT, Banking and Finance, Consultancy, FMCG, Education, Conglomerate, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Fin Tech, Telecom and IT, Pharmaceuticals, Retail, and Oil and Gas.

Speaking about the significance of the event, Dr. Ali Cheema, Vice Chancellor, LUMS, said, “Career Fair at LUMS is an extremely important event for us because students in the final stage of their education journey have to go into the real world and this becomes an important conduit. Every time I have come here, the energy is amazing, there is a diverse set of people who come up and set up stall, we have a diverse student body, and it is always a joy to be at the career fair.”

Sharing advice for graduating students, he added, “My advice for graduating seniors is that you should use the Career Fair to the best of abilities, to gather information. It has come to your doorstep. When you are evaluating where you want to go, you should pursue things you are really passionate about. At the end of the day, work is going to be large part of your life, and your heart has to be with it. I noticed there was a values wall as I walked in, and you should keep those values at the forefront of your journey as you enter work life.”

As industries evolve and career pathways diversify, initiatives like the Career Fair remain essential in preparing students for future opportunities while enabling organisations to connect with the next generation of professionals.
